How commissions work
Some external book links, most often Buy links, may be affiliate links. If you follow one and make a purchase, Sibyl may receive a commission. Sibyl does not add a separate fee for using an affiliate link.

Affiliate revenue helps support Sibyl as an independent book discovery service. It is separate from the optional Sibyl Supporter membership.
Recommendations remain independent
Affiliate relationships never affect which books Sibyl recommends, whether a book is included, its Core Match, Good Fit, or Wild Card label, or its ranking in For You, Find Books, More Like This, or another recommendation surface.
A book does not receive a stronger match because a seller may pay Sibyl, and an unaffiliated book is not pushed down for that reason.
How seller links are selected
The seller links shown follow your saved book-source preferences or, when you have not chosen them, Sibyl's default selection. Sibyl keeps their display order consistent. Sibyl uses an ISBN in the seller search when one is available; otherwise it uses the book's title and author.
Affiliate status does not change which seller appears or its order. Sibyl does not verify the exact edition, format, price, or availability before you follow a seller link, and link coverage can vary by book, source, and region.
Disclosure at the point of choice
Sibyl places a short commission notice beside each purchase link or link group that could earn a commission. You should not have to find this page before understanding that Sibyl may be compensated.
That nearby notice applies even when a particular click or purchase does not result in a commission.
Prices, availability, and seller terms
External sellers control their prices, inventory, editions, shipping, privacy practices, cancellations, returns, and refunds. Sibyl does not guarantee that a displayed source, format, or price is still available.
Check the seller's page before buying. A purchase through an external link is a transaction with that seller, not with Sibyl.
