Sibyl is operated independently by an individual under the Sibyl name. Questions can be sent to support@sibylbooks.com.

These Terms govern your use of Sibyl. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Sibyl.

You must be at least 13 to use Sibyl. If you are under 18, you may use it only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and do not share authentication links. You are responsible for activity through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access.

Sibyl helps readers discover, save, organize, discuss, research, and find external buying paths for books. Features include Find Books, For You, More Like This, taste profiles, public and private Stacks, book pages, comments, and account controls.

Sibyl is not a bookseller. Research and Buy links lead to third parties, and any purchase is a transaction between you and that seller.

You keep ownership of the profile text, Stacks, notes, comments, and other content you create. You must have the right to post that content and to grant the permission described here.

You give Sibyl a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute your content only as needed to operate, secure, back up, and present Sibyl according to your visibility choices. Sibyl may allow service providers to do those things only on its behalf.

This license ends when the content is deleted, except for protected backup copies that expire on their normal schedule and limited records Sibyl must retain for security, moderation, or legal reasons. Other readers may still possess copies they made while content was public.

Use Sibyl lawfully and with respect for other readers, creators, and the service.

Sibyl may hide or remove content, limit features, preserve relevant records, or suspend or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect readers, respond to infringement reports, comply with law, or keep the service secure.

When practical and lawful, Sibyl will explain the action and provide a way to contact support. Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate action.

Sibyl's name, interface, original writing, code, and visual system are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Book covers, descriptions, metadata, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners and may be used under licenses, permissions, or applicable legal exceptions.

To report content you believe infringes your copyright or other rights, send a detailed notice to support@sibylbooks.com. Sibyl may request the information needed to evaluate and process the report.

Book metadata, covers, descriptions, editions, links, prices, and availability can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Verify the title, edition, format, seller, price, and delivery terms before buying.

Third-party sites have their own terms, privacy practices, inventory, shipping, and refund rules. Sibyl does not control those services and is not responsible for a third party's content, security, availability, or transaction with you.

Sibyl Supporter is Sibyl's single recurring supporter membership for U.S. customers at $5.99 USD per month plus applicable tax. It renews monthly until canceled. Stripe hosts Checkout and billing management, confirms a U.S. address, and shows the charge and interval before you subscribe. Free discovery and accounts remain available internationally.

Cancel through Manage billing in Account. Cancellation stops the next renewal and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period; benefits continue through that period. If a renewal payment fails, benefits also continue while Stripe is still trying to recover the payment, then end when Stripe closes or ends the subscription.

Sibyl may add, change, pause, or discontinue parts of the service. Availability can be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider failures, or circumstances outside Sibyl's control.

Sibyl will handle account data according to the Privacy Policy and Data Deletion policy rather than intentionally removing it without the processes described there.

Sibyl is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Sibyl makes no guarantee that access will be uninterrupted, book data will be error-free, every recommendation will suit you, or an external seller will complete a transaction as expected.

To the extent permitted by law, Sibyl is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from third-party sites, inaccurate catalog information, reader content, or temporary service interruption. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, liability, remedy, or consumer right that applicable law does not allow Sibyl to exclude.

Material changes to these Terms will be posted with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated through your account or by email. Continuing to use Sibyl after the new terms take effect means you accept them where permitted by law; Sibyl will request renewed agreement when required.
