Reader fitFans of fast-moving domestic thrillers with psychological tension.
An ordinary-seeming encounter between strangers escalates into a plotted decision about murder and consequence. The setup focuses on characters who trade confidences and proposals that test ethics and self-interest, then follow the fallout as allegiances and truth become unreliable.
Structured as compact, viewpoint-led chapters with alternating perspectives and sharp, often clipped dialogue, the book keeps scenes focused and the momentum high. Voice leans on plain, direct narration and tightly rendered conversations that reveal character through choices rather than long interior monologue. It suits readers who enjoy deliberate plotting, psychological push-and-pull, and moral ambiguity; the main caveat is that twists and reversals are a core engine of enjoyment, so readers who dislike contrived surprises or morally uncomfortable protagonists may find it unsettling.
